Edx Education launches UK retail website

Published on: 26th May 2021

As Edx Education continues expansion in the UK market, the website will extend the company’s reach for its ever-growing product range.

Leading educational toy brand Edx Education has announced the launch of a UK retail website at Edx says the website will offer British parents and educators competitive prices, exclusive deals and discounts, and expert advice to support families with home learning and play.

The past year has been hugely successful for the home learning market. Initially fuelled by pandemic school closures, toy trend forecasters predict the growth in the educational toy market is set to continue well into 2021 and 2022, as parents demand more educational value from toy purchases, alongside inclusive family play opportunities encouraging siblings to play and learn together.

Heather Welch, international brand manager at Edx Education, commented: “We are excited to continue our expansion in the UK market and hope to inspire families to play, learn and bond together with our ever-growing product range and play ideas.”

Edx Education has been creating educational toys for schools in 90 countries for over 25 years. The extensive product range has been designed and developed with educational experts and focuses on the philosophy of learning through play, which has been proven to be a highly effective method of teaching in the early years. Dr Sarah Mundy, consultant clinical psychologist and author of Parenting Through Stories, says: “Children who have parents who actively engage in play with them learn about sharing, problem solving and decision-making more quickly than those who don’t. Play also helps parents understand their child’s world and shows that they are interested in them, both important aspects of developing a secure attachment relationship – the cornerstone of a child’s development.”

The Edx Education range is suitable for children aged 18m-10y and includes a wide selection of early years learning essentials, including extensive maths collections, active play, construction, exploration and imaginative play ranges. 2021 will see the expansion of the company’s Math101 and FunPlay home learning kits ranges.
