Esdevium Games chooses PR agency for UK activations

Playtime PR hired to support company’s portfolio in the UK throughout 2017/2018.

EsdeviumThe bespoke activation campaigns, designed to appeal to a mass audience of parents in the UK, sit beneath an umbrella strategy aimed at helping parents “navigate the board game shelf”.

Ben Hogg, marketing manager, Esdevium Games, commented: “Playtime clearly understands our business as well as the PR and marketing activity we already undertake in the UK. The activities they’ve designed for us focus on building from that and ensuring we reach beyond experienced gamers. We want parents to know all about our accessible, sociable and family games offering, especially as it grows with even more exciting additions to the range. We were really impressed by the ideas Playtime brought to us, so I’m looking forward to seeing them come to life.”

Playtime PR’s managing director, Lesley Singleton, added: “We discovered that while customers might buy and love their first and possibly second game from Esdevium, the ‘non-gamers’ – or more mainstream mums and dads if you like – potentially felt a little lost when it came to choosing a third, often buying something not quite right for their family and therefore being put off from further purchases. Esdevium has a really exciting portfolio of games that are quick to learn, fun for all the family and should be front of mind year-round for parents, so the campaigns we’ve crafted for the brand will focus on really showcasing the games in that space and helping parents understand how to navigate the shelf.”

The campaigns will run from early summer right through into 2018, encompassing media relations, strategic partnerships and blogger engagement, and full details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
