Evolution PR smashes 5m steps for Toy Trust’s May Mayhem

Published on: 1st June 2023

In support of the Toy Trust fundraiser, the Evolution PR team has collectively walked over 5.5m steps in just 31 days, raising over £1,000 for Whizz-Kidz.

The team at Evolution PR set out to walk more than 5,000,000 steps in just one month, as part of the Toy Trust’s latest industry Big Challenge: May Mayhem. With the full team coming together to clock up this huge step count, Evolution PR is proud to report that it has not only met but smashed its target.

Ellie Bates, director, Evolution PR, said: “With only 18 of us, I’m so proud of the team for rising to this challenge. The steps equate to around 2,500 miles – the equivalent of walking from Land’s End to John o’Groats four times, making this quite the achievement. Not only have we helped raise essential funds for Whizz-Kidz – the UK’s leading charity for young wheelchair users – but we’ve had such a fantastic time doing so.”

The company says it found the challenge both fun and worthwhile, and has been inspired to continue with collective activities in the future.

“Over the course of the 31 days, we monitored our collective progress via an online dashboard,” added Ellie. “It was great to see our combined efforts gradually tapping away at the ambitious goal. Already we’re putting our heads together to come up with our next team challenge.”

If you would like to make a donation to the Toy Trust, for Whizz-Kidz, this can done via the Evolution PR Just Giving fundraising page here. The custom dashboard  also reveals Evolution’s top steppers.
