Fireman Sam: Set for Action! premieres in the UK

Published on: 17th October 2018

The movie had its UK premiere on Saturday 13th October, with an exclusive Cartoonito airing set for Monday.

An invited audience of children and parents packed out the Cinema Room at the Soho Hotel in London at a special UK premiere screening, where they were among the first to watch Fireman Sam’s new movie, Fireman Sam: Set for Action! The special event comes ahead of the 60-minute CG-animated special airing on Cartoonito (Sky 619 Virgin 706 BT 488) on Monday 22nd October at 8am.

Combining the excitement and glamour of the Hollywood film industry with all the action and heroic rescues that fans know and love from the TV series, the movie special guest stars Scottish-American actor John Barrowman, MBE, (Doctor Who and Torchwood), who voices the charming yet sneaky movie star, Flex Dexter.

John Barrowman commented: “I am absolutely delighted to be voicing the character of Flex Dexter in the brand new Fireman Sam: Set For Action! movie, and I’m very much looking forward to unleashing the havoc of Hollywood onto Pontypandy in this new feature-length special. Fireman Sam is a true institution of children’s television and continuing its tradition of first-class entertainment for children and families, this special is a whirlwind, rollercoaster ride of fun, action and adventure that will thrill fans.”
