Fisher-Price creates New Year’s advert starring 2015’s first babies

Fisher-Price has launched its Best Possible Start advertising campaign by filming New Year’s newborns around the world.fisherprice300

The Wishes for Baby advert was shot in the last remaining hours of 2014 and the early hours of 2015 in 10 hospitals across seven counties.

Local film crews in the U.S., Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Kenya, Bangladesh and Poland captured footage of new mums talking about their wishes for their new children. The footage was then turned around in less than 24 hours by agency Weber Shandwick and documentarian Patrick Creadon.

At the end of the advert, the words ‘The best possible start begins with love’ appear on the screen.

Lisa Mancuso, senior vice president of Fisher-Price global brand marketing for the baby business, said: “The work of Fisher-Price has always been to enrich the lives of young families. The incredible love parents share for their children and the dreams they hold for them to reach their full potential is universal. Wishes for Baby is our way to say we’re so inspired by all you do to give your children the best possible start in life and we’re here to support you in nurturing your child’s development in the most engaging and playful way.”

Patrick Creadon added: “I was drawn to this project having filmed the births of my own children and knowing that new life, combined with self-reflection brought on by a new year, would be a powerful thing to portray.”
