The Kixi Scoot Safe Campaign is aimed at parents and children (aged 3-5) who will be using scooters and balance bikes for the first time this Summer, and will reinforce important principles to make scooting a safer and more enjoyable activity.
The Kixi brand of scooters and balance bikes are made by Razor. As part of the campaign, a ‘Kixi Scoot Safe this Summer’ leaflet will offer advice to parents who want to introduce their children to scooters, educating them in the correct way on how to use them and the safety equipment that should be used.
The activity kicked off at the parental consumer show, Mums Show Live, where the campaign was being championed on the UKMums.tv stand, with Kixi products on display and safety advice leaflets being handed out to visitors. Throughout the Summer and early Autumn there will be further activity online, in print and through schools and playgroups with children’s events, advice guides and posters. Further information and advice is available online through a dedicated webpage www.kixiscootsafe.com.
Andrew Brown, brand manager, said: “Kixi is a quality product that parents can trust to be the best for their children. The safety advice leaflet contains simple steps that will help children enjoy scooting safely plus, provide information that will educate them about where they should and should not scoot. We hope that the campaign will reach hundreds of thousands of families this summer and in so doing reduce the many bumps, bruises and scraped knees that can so easily be avoided by taking a few simple steps.”
