Flair strengthens Tigerhead partnership with return of Messi Training range

Published on: 21st December 2021

The popular Messi Training range will re-join the Flair GP portfolio in 2022, among several properties that bring together Flair and Tigerhead Toys.

Flair GP and Tigerhead Toys have announced the return of the Messi Training collection to the firm’s portfolio in SS22. The news comes as Flair prepares for the launch of a raft of new brands for SS22 and AW22, among which will be three properties that will bring together the Flair and Tigerhead Toys teams.

The Messi Training range, endorsed by football legend Lionel Messi who recently won the prestigious Ballon d’Or for a record seventh time, comprises balls and accessories to hone football skills. With instantly recognisable branding and professional training method and equipment at the heart of the brand, this collection is designed to inspire kids to train harder and smarter.

The new collection will include the Soft Touch Training Ball, which is printed with an image of Messi and is designed for younger players with a size 2 ball and height adjustable cord. For older kids there is the Pro Training Ball S3, which has the benefits of the Soft Touch Ball, but with a size 3 ball. Kids can also brush up on  tricks with the Tricks & Effects Ball, while for a high resistance ball with quality rebound, the Flexi Ball Pro has been designed to support better control. The collection will also feature a range of accessories, including the Messi Large Foldable Goal, which comes with a ball and pump, as well as the Small Pop-Up Goal, which folds down into a compact shoulder bag.

“We are delighted to be able to supply the Messi Training collection to the UK market once again. Our previous experience with the collection has been incredibly positive, and now, with this new collection that we have hand-picked specifically for our market, we expect even greater results,” commented Iulia Toader, marketing manager, Flair GP. “The launch will come just in time for spring, along with a marketing drive to raise further awareness among children and their parents, ensuring that it is a go-to brand when seen on-shelf.”

“We are delighted to have Flair as our exclusive distributor for the Messi Training System line as well as other TigerHead Toy properties,” said Fernando del Rio, global sales director for Tigerhead Toys. “Flair is a top reference in UK and Ireland distribution and a true brand builder. I am confident the team will achieve outstanding results and bring joy to many children.”

Julia Cake, country manager at Flair GP, added: “It’s great to be working with Tigerhead Toys again this year, and Messi is just the start. We have new exciting properties to announce in the months to come. Watch this space.”
