FremantleMedia Enterprises is growing its global kids and family entertainment operations with the appointment of a senior strategist based in its London office. In this role, Lumbard will be responsible for the commercial development of brands within the portfolio across EMEA, including identifying timescales, key licensing categories, best in practice licensees and retailers, and more. Lumbard starts at FremantleMedia this week.
Reporting to Mark Newton EVP licensing EMEA and Dominic Burns SVP licensing and entertainment EMEA, he will be the vital link between the LA-based kids and family entertainment content team, led by Sander Schwartz, and the licensing, home entertainment and television distribution teams across EMEA. He will also work closely with the FremantleMedia brand management and marketing team led by Kate Schlomann.
Lumbard brings to the role more than 20 years experience in international sales, marketing and licensing gained through managing globally recognised brands and retailers. He joins FremantleMedia from 20th Century Fox where he spent nearly 14 years, most recently as SVP and managing director licensing and merchandising, EMEA; before that he held senior positions at Promotional Partners Worldwide and Warner Bros Consumer Products.
Lumbard said: “FremantleMedia’s Kids and Family Entertainment division has been really successful in a relatively short time and the portfolio of brands is perfect for long-term growth across EMEA and beyond. I’m looking forward to being involved with these brands and to working with the highly regarded teams in EMEA and globally.”
