FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment’s animated series Ella the Elephant and Grojband will premiere on UK kids TV channels Tiny Pop and Pop this month.
Based on the award-winning books written by Carmela D’Amico and illustrated by Steven D’Amico, pre-school series Ella the Elephant will air on Tiny Pop on Saturday April 5, whilst the musical animated comedy series Grojband is set for older viewers when it launches on Pop, which recently joined Freeview, later in the month.
Ella the Elephant (52×11”) follows the animated adventures of Ella, a sweet, kind and generous little elephant with an adventurous spirit and a magic red hat. Already launched in the US on Disney Channel and Disney Junior, the programme has been sold to over 50 territories around the globe including ABC in Australia, Disney Junior Channel in Latin America, TVO and Knowledge Network in Canada, and Clan in Spain. In addition a master toy deal is in the pipeline in the US with further details to be announced soon.
Grojband (26×30’) is geared towards kids aged 6-11. The musical comedy series follows Corey and his three best friends as they struggle to rocket their garage band to international stardom. The series recently launched on ABC3 in Australia where it was the number one show on the channel and has also aired on Cartoon Network in the US, and Latin America.
