Fundamentally Children to host Play Day at John Lewis

The team of experts will be running their latest Play Day at the Cambridge branch of John Lewis from 11am until 3pm on 6th December.

John-Lewis-480Throughout the day, the Fundamentally Children team will be available to talk to customers and share their unique insight into children’s play, toys and development, and helping customers make informed buying choices at this important time of year.

The Play Days are the ideal way to allow children and parents to test the toys before buying, and to receive expert advice on their purchases, while creating a fun and engaging atmosphere in store. The last Play Day run by the company also resulted in a boost in sales and footfall for the branch.

Mark Kelly, partner at John Lewis Cambridge, commented: “The Play Day created a great atmosphere in the toy department at a time where shopping for toys can be stressful for parents. The day the team were in, we saw an 8.1% increase on sales which was well above the average for the week.”

Lucy Moody, head of retail relations at Fundamentally Children, added: “We’re delighted to be working with John Lewis again. The Play Days are a huge success in store and we’re hoping to help boost sales by promoting great toys again in the all-important run-up to Christmas.”
