Fundials debuts at Toy Fair’s 60th Anniversary

Published on: 2nd November 2012

Fundials, a new online business due to begin operating in 2013, makes its first appearance at Toy Fair, London Olympia, with the Squiggle ‘n’ Spell, a patent-pending double-sided learning wheel for children aged 3-11 years.

Fundials is a small online toy business started by Yvonne Charles, a mother with a passion for children’s educational needs. Fundials specialises in the design and development of safe, cost effective educational wheels. Yvonne, inventor of the Squiggle ‘n’ Spell, will be around for all three days of Toy Fair. Yvonne has a patent pending, obtained a prototype, a registered community design, several trademarks, and collaborated with potential manufacturers and distributors.

Fundials is launching its new website www.fundials.com in November 2012, primarily for its vendors. The new website will provide general information and a listing of products and services. The website will be used to aid communication between Fundials and its prospective stockists and wholesale distributors, and link customers to vendors.

Through joint agreements, the company hopes to distribute its products through the e-commerce section of the website, which will launch in 2013. It also expects to distribute its products through intermediary sales sites like Amazon, and make public sales to schools and day nurseries. Yvonne said: “The new website will help to extend the companies’ exclusive ‘My Turn To Learn’ brand into other related areas such as back-to-school products.”

To help establish the company’s long-term objectives, Fundials is seeking partners with an in-depth knowledge of the toy industry and experience in administration. Alternatively, Fundials is prepared to negotiate the terms of a licence.
