Funko partners with Toytopia to expand Thailand presence

To mark the beginning of the partnership, Toytopia will be showcasing Funko products at the annual Thailand Comic Con between 22nd and 24th September.

Funko has announced a strategic partnership with leading Thailand toy distributor, Toytopia. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Funko’s global expansion efforts as the company continues to bring its beloved products, including Pop!, Bitty Pop!, Loungefly and Funko Games, to fans around the world.

To mark the beginning of the partnership, Toytopia will be showcasing Funko products at the annual Thailand Comic Con (Royal Paragon Hall, 5th Floor Siam Paragon Shopping Complex) between 22nd and 24th September. Thailand Comic Con is one of the biggest pop culture events in Thailand, averaging over 35,000 visitors per day.

Senior regional director Asia: Funko Far East, Andy Clempson, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Toytopia. Not only is it a leader in what its does but its understanding and respect for pop culture fans is unparalleled. We cannot wait for Toytopia to showcase our products for the first time at Thailand Comic Con, the fan event it established in 2014.”

The chief executive officer of Toytopia, Chanvit Vityasamrit, added: “For years, Funko has been a household name among Thai pop culture fans. When the partnership opportunity came to Toytopia we could not have been more excited, and we’re thrilled about representing the business in Thailand. Together with Funko, I look forward to an exciting time ahead and cannot wait to reintroduce the brand to the Thai market.”

Toytopia will officially begin distributing Funko products towards the end of this year.
