Galt Toys has announced its official launch on Pinterest as a platform to interact with customers and share useful information for parents.GALT-Pinterest300

Pinterest is currently the third most popular social website in the world, with categories dedicated to Kids and Education. By having a presence on the site, Galt Toys will further increase its social media following, in addition to the 9,000 fans that currently follow the brand on Facebook and Twitter.

The Galt Pinterest account, which is already up and running, will link to the company’s website and blog, and include tips, arts and craft ideas and expert advice videos from Dr Miriam Stoppard, who teamed up with Galt to launch a range of First Years toys for babies and toddlers earlier this year. In addition, the Galt Toys Pinterest boards will include ideas for rainy days, weekends and school holidays.

John McDonnell, managing director of Galt Toys, commented: “As more and more busy UK parents use Pinterest as a source of inspiration, we felt it was important for Galt to have a presence on the site to share advice and information with our followers. We hope parents will find our Pinterest boards useful when planning events such as children’s parties, Christmas, birthdays, christenings or baby showers. All products shown on the Galt website can also be easily ‘pinned’ to their own Pinterest accounts, which will allow users to create Christmas wish lists and ideas boards ahead of the festive season.”

To celebrate joining Pinterest, the educational toy brand has launched a ‘Pin To Win’ competition for its followers, giving one winner the chance to win an award-winning Playnest.
