Gibsons has released two puzzles for BBC drama, Call the Midwife, as well as new Downton Abbey jigsaws.
The 1,000-piece Call the Midwife jigsaw puzzle shows Jennifer’s character cycling in her midwife uniform through streets of London. Other images that add to the montage, and that feature in the 500-piece puzzle, include midwives Jenny, Trixie, Cynthia and Chummy.
Pippa Harris, executive producer of Call the Midwife, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Gibsons on Call the Midwife puzzles. The timeless appeal of jigsaw puzzles is the perfect accompaniment to the series which is going from strength to strength.”
The jigsaws are available for immediate delivery. Nick Wright, managing director, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Neal Street Productions on the Call the Midwife puzzles as the hugely successful series mirrors Gibsons’ ideals and principals. We are known for producing British, nostalgic, high quality products and this licence fits perfectly with our core values.”
Gibsons has also released the latest addition to its licensed puzzles collection; the annual instalment of the Downton Abbey jigsaws. For the third consecutive year, Gibsons presents a new 1,000-piece jigsaw, and for the first time, a 4×500-piece puzzle, that both include scenes and characters from Downton Abbey.
The 1,000-piece puzzle depicts some of the character’s most memorable scenes and phrases, including Violet Crawley’s witty views, as well as the many celebrations, births and marriages that took place at Downton’s Abbey.
The 4×50-piece puzzles portray scenes of the many different social groups that appear in the drama, including a snapshot of the sisters dressed in their formal wear.
The jigsaws are available for immediate delivery. Nick Wright commented: “We are proud to release another set of Downton Abbey puzzles for a third year in a row, and this year’s jigsaws stand out from previous ones in the way they incorporate classic quotes and fond memories from past series. The 4×500-piece is a welcome addition, as it allows those who enjoy more of a variety the chance to create four different images.”
