Published on: 1st February 2016

To celebrate National Puzzle Day, which took place last Friday, Gibsons gave puzzlers and photographers a chance to have their photo painted and turned into a jigsaw puzzle.

Gibsons-480The competition follows Gibsons’ launch of its Emma Ball gift puzzle range, the artist who will have the honour of painting the winning photograph.

Based in Nottinghamshire, Emma Ball is a renowned watercolour artist whose paintings can be found on all sorts of memorabilia. Gibsons’ 11 new Emma Ball jigsaws are presented in compact gift boxes and stylish cardboard tubes, depicting beautiful scenes from all over Britain.

Kate Armitage, director of marketing at Gibsons, commented: “2016 marks 30 years since we first added jigsaw puzzles to the Gibsons collection, and to commemorate this and to celebrate National Puzzle Day, we wanted to offer our devoted fans a chance to have their image turned into a jigsaw puzzle that will be enjoyed by thousands.”

The deadline for the National Puzzle Day competition, which is featured in The Daily Express, is 12th March and the winning image will be announced on 3rd of April. The lucky winner’s photo will be painted by Emma Ball and manufactured by Gibsons which will launch the jigsaw to its nationwide retailers later on this year.
