To celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, Gibsons has added a collector’s edition to its Royal Puzzle collection named Coronation of a King.
The Coronation of King Charles III, on Saturday 6th May 2023, marks the start of a new era for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. During the ceremony, the King is anointed with holy oil, blessed and consecrated by the Archbishop of Canterbury and receives The Crown Jewels: the Orb, the Coronation Ring and the Sceptre.
Gibsons‘ new 1,000-piece puzzle, Coronation of a King, celebrates this historic event with a montage of different imagery portraying the tradition and grandeur of the Coronation ceremony. The artwork includes King Edward’s 14th-century chair and crown, and celebrates the beginning of His Majesty King Charles III’s reign.
This 1000-piece puzzle has been created by the talented Victor McLindon. Dedicated puzzlers might recognise his work from another Gibsons best-seller, Queen Elizabeth II. Gibsons says Victor’s artwork captures the history and life of both Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III in a vibrant yet elegant way.
Samantha Goodburn, marketing manager at Gibsons, states: “We can’t believe the success of Coronation of a King. It only launched on 10th February and had sold out in just four days. It has been our best-seller for both our trade customers and consumers, and we are overjoyed by the incredible reviews it has received.”
With the Coronation just over two months away the popularity of the puzzle isn’t slowing down, and retailers are therefore advised to get their orders in ASAP.
