It is expected to top Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and Big Hero 6 within a week or two. As of Sunday, total box office sales crossed $400m, despite a slow start overseas.

As of the end of the holiday period, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has made just over $776.8m worldwide, and is expected to cross the $800m mark.

DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls took $150m over the weekend, with Doctor Strange gaining $230m. Universal’s newest movie Sing also made $56m over the weekend.
