US retailers have reported sales of 150-200 sets a day of the £15 retail unit. Each set contains 600 tiny rubber bands in a variety of colours and finishes that can be woven into bracelets, rings and necklaces. Consumer reactions have been highly positive, and there are also ‘how to’ videos and design ideas sweeping social media. Refill packs are also selling well.
Martin Grossman, managing director, said: “It’s great that we’ve got the original Rainbow Loom, this is the one that has been making all the sales in the US and we intend to promote it heavily in the run-up to Christmas and beyond.”
