Hama Beads launches Jungle Island on Hama Universe app

Published on: 28th September 2021

Children can explore the new island and create even more bead motifs on the app, which allows them to get creative while on the go.

The digital world of Hama Beads has opened up further with an eighth island added to the Hama Universe app.

The app allows for all the fun of playing with the beads on-the-go and without any spillages but remains faithful to its core product, by using patterns, shapes and colours to encourage children to learn and be creative. With a tablet or phone, children can drag the beads into position on the pegboard and even watch their designs be ironed and saved.

On Hama Universe’s new Jungle Island, children will be challenged to create beautiful bead motifs digitally and can move around the atmospheric island in the dark, experiencing unexplored caves, strange plants and fairy-tale designs.

The Hama beads brand was invented over 50 years ago in Denmark and in August launched a special 50th anniversary range.  Ever since it was started, millions of children all over the world have let their creativity bloom, making patterns and motifs using the melt-together beads. Hama Beads are easy to use, come in three different size ranges, Midi, Mini and Maxi, and can be enjoyed by all ages, abilities and genders.

Hama Universe takes traditional bead play away from its usual limitations and dresses it in a new digital outfit. The app has several advantages – beads won’t fall off and roll everywhere and it is easy to take on a trip, meaning children can be entertained on long journeys.

Hama Universe is available from the AppStore and GooglePlay.

The Hama Beads range is distributed in the UK by DKL Beysal, which has recently announced a move to new office premises in Northamptonshire. The company’s new address is: The Grainstore, Unit 1 Blisworth Hill Business Park, Stoke Road, Blisworth, Northants, NN7 3DB and the team can be contacted on 01604 678780.
