Hamley’s Christmas Toy Parade to hit Regent Street

The famous toy shop will celebrate its 255th birthday and the festive season with a special toy parade event.

hamleystoyparade480Marching bands, toy characters, floating blimps, street theatre, dance crews, music from Heart FM, toy vehicles and a fireworks finale will all be at a traffic free Regent Street from 10:30am on Saturday, 28th November.

Toy characters including Barbie and her pink limo, Bing and Flop, Fireman Sam, Hello Kitty, Peppa Pig, Power Rangers, Shrek, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sylvanian Families, Thunderbirds, Optimus Prime and the Twirly Woos will be present to greet children, as well as appearances from Father Christmas, the Hamleys Elves, and Hamley and Hattie bear.

The parade with free public viewing along the route will start at 10:30am from the Glasshouse Street junction and move north on its way up to Regent Street, concluding at Conduit Street/Malborough Street.

There will be meet and greet stations positioned along Regent Street, where children can meet characters, including Snoopy and Charlie Brown.

There will also be a special guest present for the firework finale at 4:30pm.

Hamleys has advised early arrival to avoid disappointment as, for safety, the street will be closed once it reaches capacity.
