Hamleys Moscow wins award for store design

Hamleys Moscow was named best designed store at the recent World Retail Awards 2015.

Hamleysmoscow-480The retail industry gathered at the Rome Cavalieri last week to celebrate the achievements of retailers over the past year. The winners were presented with trophies by Gregory Polletta, professor and founder of Ignitiate.

The 2015 World Retail Awards winners included:

Store Design of the Year – Hamleys World, Moscow by Fitch
Future Retail Challenge – Hong Kong Polytechnic University sponsored by Li & Fung
Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year – Nitin Passi, Founder & CEO, Missguided.com
Retail Transformation & Reinvention – Primark
Retail Advertising Campaign of the Year – M&S For Every Milestone. RKCR/Y&R
e-Commerce Retailer of the Year – JD.com, China
Outstanding Leadership Award – Paul Marchant, CEO, Primark
Retailer of the Year – Alibaba

Alberto Alessi was honoured with the REUTPALA lifetime achievement award for design and retail, which was accepted by his son Matteo.
