The iconic toy retailer is providing a summer of sporting fun and games to families inspired by the Euros, Wimbledon and the Tokyo Olympics.
Hamleys has unveiled its Summer Games programme, which has launched in time for the May half term.
Families will be invited to enjoy the Hamleys Wizarding World tournament, a sports day with Frozen II, sporty puppet shows, story times and quizzes, and join the Hamleys entertainment team for singing and dancing to popular and uplifting sport-themed songs in the Fan Zone. Between 11th June – 11th July, kids can also try their luck at a penalty shootout with Hamley Bear ahead of the Euros Championship.
In addition to the sporting fun and games taking place in the Regent Street store, Peppa Pig and PJ Masks fans can join the retailer on the weekend of 5th-6th of June for a surprise guest appearance of the much-loved characters. The unmissable event marks Peppa’s first meet and greet in over a year.
The Hamleys entertainment team will be split into Team Fun and Team Magic and any children who wish to enter the Games are able to become part of one of the teams.
An array of toys to get kids moving and active this summer will also be available, including Hamleys Booma, the Hamleys Extreme Bubble Blaster and the Hamleys Street Gliders.
Hamleys CEO Sumeet Yadav said: “Following the fantastic reopening of retail, Hamleys is elevating the experience with its very own Summer Games, which will put families at the heart of a range of fun and interactive sports day activities to encourage play, laughter and smiles across all of our UK stores. We believe that this year more than ever, major events will be a special way to bring everyone together. We want to make sure that everyone, young and old, can enjoy all we have to offer. Families have missed these special interactions for some time now and we are privileged to be able to bring this back to so many people’s lives. Let’s make the best use of the lovely outdoors and let the games begin at Hamleys.”
