Hasbro announces National Power Rangers Day

Published on: 16th August 2018

National Power Rangers Day will be on August 28th, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the TV series.

Fans are encouraged to mark the occasion by wearing the colours of their favourite Power Ranger and tweeting photos and memories of the series with the hashtag #NationalPowerRangersDay. On this day, Hasbro will air a new episode in the US, rumoured to feature the return of several classic rangers and taking place as part of Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel.

The original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers followed a team of ordinary teens recruited to become the Power Rangers. Created by Haim Saban, the first episode of the television series aired on August 28, 1993. It immediately became a worldwide success and remains a leading franchise today.

The series is broadcast in more than 150 markets around the world.

Hasbro purchased the rights to the entire Power Rangers licensing brand from Saban. It was recently confirmed that work has started on a follow-up to the 2017 live-action film.
