Hexbug has appointed Full Volume PR to help increase awareness and coverage of its products.

Hexbug now offers over 100 different products that range from buildable play sets to battling robots.

PR agency Full Volume has been appointed to drive awareness of Hexbug’s current products, launch several new ranges to consumer media, implement influencer-led campaigns and drive trade PR coverage.

Hexbug, which is owned by Innovation First International, was first launched in 2007 and now offers over 100 different products that range from buildable playsets to battling robots, targeted at children from an early age up to teens. Hexbug’s overall goal is to provide children with a positive experience with robotics from a young age.

Full Volume will deliver a programme of activity to drive ongoing brand awareness and position Hexbug as innovators in toy technology. The agency will also run a full press office and handle all launch activations for new ranges for autumn and Christmas 2021, which include newer versions of Hexbug’s popular JunkBots.

Hexbug European sales manager Gareth Jones said: “We needed an agency that could really hit the ground running and we’ve found that in Full Volume. The team’s enthusiasm, ideas and understanding of our business brief were very impressive, and they’ve got stuck right in. We’re looking forward to working with them over the coming months and building a long-term partnership.”

Full Volume PR managing partner Rebecca Hallinan added: “Hexbug is exactly the type of client we love – a brand with a clear purpose and an innovative, creative product range. This win really plays to our strengths in product PR and the whole team is really excited to work on this one.”
