Hoho Rights has been appointed as the global licensing agent for pre-school property, Puffin Rock.
Currently airing on RTE and Nick Junior in the UK, Puffin Rock is a co-production between Cartoon Saloon, Dog Ears and Penguin Random House.
Netflix airs the series in a number of countries including the US and Japan. Many international broadcasters have already picked up the first series, and a second series is currently in production for transmission in spring 2016. Penguin Random House will also be publishing a range of books to complement the series.
Hoho’s joint managing director Helen Howells said: “We are absolutely delighted to be representing Puffin Rock. With its classic picture book style, this original series feels like a property that is immediately familiar. We look forward to introducing this charming property to retailers and licensees at BLE.”
Laura Campbell, editorial director at Dog Ears, added: “We’re excited to be working with Hoho. It has a great understanding of our brand and big plans for the global licensing. We look forward to seeing our Puffins flying off the shelves.”
Hoho Rights will be launching Puffin Rock at BLE next month, and can be found at stand B100.
