Hoho Rights has secured the international licensing and merchandising rights to publishing franchise Toddler Time.TODDLER_TIME300

Toddler Time was first published by The Creative Studio and began as an interactive book entitled Toddler Treasury, which was followed by Toddler Christmas. The books, which are led by toddler twins Amy and Archie, are illustrated by Katie Saunders and feature contemporary artwork that combines bold colours with mixed patterns.

Targeted to inquisitive toddlers and tested in nurseries at every stage, the Toddler Time books are intended to both entertain and inform. The key learning opportunities are identified at the start of every book to ensure that the toddler is learning in the right way.

The Toddler Time series has sold over 240,00 copies across 16 languages. The franchise is expanding the current offering into a full series of new book formats which are set to hit the UK, USA and a number of other international markets in the next 12 months.

Helen Howells, Hoho Entertainment’s joint managing director, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have secured the licensing rights to the Toddler Time franchise. We were initially captivated by Katie Saunders’ exquisite illustrations and the simple humour which all parents can relate to. We are looking forward to launching Toddler Time officially at BLE this year. We hope to establish some key partnerships with licensees and retailers to develop a focused range of merchandise that is in keeping with the books’ brand values and faithful to Katie’s gorgeous illustrations.”

Jeffrey Nobbs, MD of The Creative Studio, added: “We are delighted to be working so closely with Hoho Entertainment and chose them because we knew right from the start that they shared our passion and vision for the Toddler Time brand. Toddler Time has very quickly established itself as an international publishing success and in the UK we are excited to announce the retail launch of the books in Spring 2014 from award-winning  children’s publisher Nosy Crow. We look forward to seeing the Toddler Twins enjoying the same success in licensing and merchandising as they have done in publishing.”
