Hornby Hobbies has announced the launch of a solo edition of the Batman Tumbler car for Scalextric.

The deal sees only 2000 pieces being produced, priced at £49.99 and presented in a special pack.

The item is planned for launch this summer to coincide with the The Dark Knight Rises movie release.

Paul Chandler, marketing manager for Scalextric from Hornby Hobbies says: “Iconic vehicles from the Batman franchise have been replicated successfully in Scalextric form numerous times during the past forty years. We are very pleased to create a Scalextric version of the Tumbler as it has become another iconic vehicle in the Batman mythology.”

Paul Bufton, general manager, Warner Bros consumer products UK said: “The limited edition Batman Tumbler car is certain to become a must-own product for die-hard Batman fans who want to commemorate the last film in Christopher Nolan’s outstanding trilogy of Batman films.”
