Hornby expands its marketing and sales teams

Hornby announces the appointment of two new members to its marketing and sales teams in response to business growth in 2014.Jim-WORDPRESS

Jim Procter-Blain joins the company as marketing controller. He has worked for recognised names including Mars, Asda, and Tesco. His new role at Hornby involves co-ordinating all aspects of marketing and communications, working closely with the in-house team and PR Agency Norton & Co.

“I’ve grown up with these great brands, and I’m really excited at the prospect of working with them – it’s every boy’s dream job,” he said. “Hornby is in a great place at the moment, with some very exciting plans for the future, and I’m really happy to be part of those plans.”

Neil Fripp joins as head of UK sales. His last two appointments have been leading National Sales for the AA, and delivering growth for partners such as Coca Cola, Britvic, Cineworld, Pizza Hut and Burger King for a promotional marketing company.

Neil commented: “My team have shared their observations and our first objective is to improve our communications to our retail partners. Communication is two way, and I look forward to meeting customers through the preview season.”
