All Breyer horses are hand painted

Hornby Hobbies is set to take over as the UK distribute for the Breyer horse range for Reeves International from January 1st, 2012.

Up until that date, all orders and shipments will be handled by incumbent distributor, Treasure Trove Toys. Hornby will then distribute the equestrian toy and model horses through its traditional sales channels.

Each Breyer horse is hand painted with around 20 artisans working on each model, creating an exquisite hand-made product that is as unique as the real horse which inspired it.

Antony Fleischmann, president of Reeves International said; “Breyer horses have been selling consistently since the 1950s and we are delighted that the Breyer brand will now sit alongside some of the most iconic brands in Britain.

“Hornby’s vision allied with our brand makes for a compelling offering and we look forward to the future with excitement.”

Nathaniel Southworth, sales and marketing director, Hornby Hobbies commented: “We are delighted to welcome Breyer horses into our family of collectable toy brands. From the moment we met with the team at Reeves International it was obvious that their commitment to quality, detail and passion for their subject matter fitted alongside our business.

“We intend to harness our experience alongside theirs to reinforce our shared product values that have stood the test of time.  2012 is a significant year for Hornby and we are delighted that Reeves International will be joining us to share the experience.”
