Host of Ideas launches inaugural Autumn series

Published on: 12th November 2012

Online platform Host of Ideas, which seeks to match entrepreneurs with top-flight investors, is running a three-month run of competitions.

The Autumn series celebrates startups in ten fast-growing market sectors, with categories ranging from disruptive tech innovations and sustainability concepts, to ventures creating customer entertainment experiences, home-focussed products, and breakthrough B2B services.

Host of Ideas founder Will Andrews said: “We’re excited about the launch of our Autumn series and are already getting some fantastic ventures registering for our Awards. We want to make the most of our international positioning by linking up investors and entrepreneurs from around the world. There are a lot of great ideas originating from Europe, and substantial financial backing available in the US; it’s our aim to bridge the gap between the two.”

With offices in London and Chicago, and with a list of high-profile investors on its books, Host of Ideas aims to be the go-to site for entrepreneurs seeking early-stage funding. Anyone with a strong business pitch is invited to register and upload their proposal to the site, where their application will be carefully reviewed by investors and the judging panel. The Autumn series will run until 3rd December 2012. All applications are warmly welcomed.
