Hot Wheels wins toy design award

Hot Wheels’ Wall Tracks line has won a consumer award in the category for Best Toy Design 2012, as chosen by national parenting magazine Junior.

Hot Wheels Wall Tracks allows boys to play with their cars and track sets on their bedroom wall. Following the success of the line last year, Hot Wheels has introduced new Wall Tracks Mid Air Madness, which comes with a booster and a background poster. New for autumn 2012 is the Wall Tracks Power Tower, which features a working elevator for continuous racing action.

Mattel boys marketing manager, Jonathan Kirkley, commented: “Wall Tracks was a phenomenally successful launch for us in 2011 and we have even bigger plans for the line in autumn 2012. We’re delighted to win yet another award; especially as this endorsement comes from one of the UK’s top parenting magazines.”
