The team’s efforts were in aid of the local Trinity Palliative Care Services and Brian House Children’s Hospice. The 6.2 mile route took the runners on a veritable tourist trail along Blackpool’s promenade. Over 3,000 people of all ages and abilities took part in the charity race, and over 4,000 spectators lined the route to cheer on the runners.
The quickest HTI runner to complete the 10K course was national account manager Angela Jamieson with a time of 40 mins 20 seconds. The team’s average race time was a respectable 1 hour 15 minutes. The HTI team has raised a total of £1,500 from collective donations and sponsorship, which the HTI board of directors has pledged to double to make a grand total of £3,000 for the deserving local charity. All members of the HTI Fun Run Team would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the toy industry for their generous donations.
Donations can still be made and would be greatly appreciated by logging on to: http://www.justgiving.com/hti.
