With Olly the Little White Van now secured on Milkshake until 2018, the pre-school series has signed new international deals and a year-round cinema contract.Olly300

As well as appearing on Channel 5 in the UK, Olly the Little White Van airs daily on Cartoonito and has just secured a second 12-month cinemas contract with the Picture Houses Group of cinemas. Half-hour shows will be screened monthly across the UK. With audiences into the millions, and almost always in the ‘pre-school top five’, downloads of the app have now reached six figures.

Globally, new agreements have recently been concluded in Russia, Japan and Holland, adding to the dozens of markets in which Olly is already appearing. These range from Turkey to Indonesia, Eire to New Zealand, the Nordic countries to Korea and the whole of the Middle East. Advanced discussions are taking place at next week’s Mipcom with further major territories.

Henry Becket, Olly’s creator, said: “Olly the Little White Van is definitely on the road to being accessible across the globe. It’s clear from the ratings that he and his friends are pre-school favourites and with the property being so poetic it presents a great opportunity for licensees. Publishing and stationery sales are already climbing, and the brand is now looking to extend into toys, games and apparel – in the UK as well as overseas.”
