Disney Pixar’s latest animation, Inside Out opened to the number one spot at the UK box office this weekend.
Inside Out is set to take an estimated £7m during its opening weekend. The film has already taken $550m at the global box office following its record breaking opening in the U.S.
Directed by BAFTA and Academy Award winner Pete Docter and produced by Jonas Rivera, Inside Out has become a phenomenon, receiving five-star reviews from The Times, Daily Telegraph and The Independent, among others, and being hailed as the film which defies the conventions of family movies.
In addition to the number one slot Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has also landed the second spot in the chart with Marvel’s Ant-Man taking £2.3m.
