iPieces apps now available on Google Android

Jumbo Games has developed its current range of digital iPieces games to work on other formats, including Android devices.iPieces-on-Android300

As of 1st August 2013, the current iPieces games Air Hockey, Pool and Snakes & Ladders will also work on Android tablets (seven and ten inch screens), and all compatible tablets for major brands such as Samsung, Amazon Kindle and Sony. There is no change to the physical iPieces product; consumers will simply be able to download the app onto their Android devices for the game to work with their iPieces.

This latest activity follows in the continued success of the iPieces app range which, since launching last year, has offered a new way of playing games together.

Bringing traditional group games into a new modern era, iPieces transforms tablets into the familiar playing board, complete with visual animations and sound effects when the iPieces interact with the tablet screen.

Katherine Pierce, marketing manager at Jumbo Games, commented: “Since launching in the UK just last year, the iPieces range has grown rapidly in popularity. One massive draw is the fact that iPieces combines the traditional charm of playing a game together with the modern, fast-paced world of digital technology; the result is a broadly appealing game suitable for everyone in the family, from the young to very old. As a result of such success, we have extended some of the most popular iPieces games for Android applications in order to widen our opportunity into new markets, continuing our commitment to invest in our popular iPieces range.”
