ITVS GE unveils new Thunderbird 1

ITV Studios Global Entertainment unveiled the new Thunderbird 1 designed for Thunderbirds Are Go! at this year’s Licensing Expo 2014.TB1-300

As part of its Las Vegas Licensing Expo launch activity, ITVS GE unveiled the first official image of the iconic Thunderbird 1 from the new series to give potential partners a glimpse of the vehicle designs that will play a key role in the franchise. Visitors to ITVS GE’s stand saw a large scale model of the Thunderbird 1 that has been exclusively created for the show by leading designers at Pukeko Pictures and Weta Workshop in addition to an unmissable green screen experience.

Vivid Imaginations, master toy licensee with worldwide rights excluding US & Asia, is already on board. There are now 20 Thunderbirds Classic licensees in the UK and another 20-plus internationally across key categories, including gifting (Paladone Products, Vibe Centre, Tartan Squirrel), alarm clocks and accessories (Bunkerbound) and figurines (Robert Harrop) as well as the Agents’ Technical Manual from Haynes Publishing. Wrath of the Titans actress Rosamund Pike will voice Lady Penelope, while Kayvan Novak (from Channel 4’s Facejacker) plays inventor Brains. Thomas Brodie-Sangster from Game Of Thrones will be John Tracy. David Graham, who was in the original cast, will revive his role as chauffeur Parker.
