The launch follows the success of the hit series; one of the top rating shows on Disney Junior and already set for a third season in 2013.
The range includes figures, play-sets Pirate Ship Bucky and Hook’s Battle Boat, the Yo Ho Let’s Go Talking Jake and role-play items like Jake’s Magical Sword.
The range will have an extensive marketing programme to support the launch, including TV advertising, retailer activity, a fully integrated press campaign, digital and social media.
Wendy Hill, senior marketing manager, Fisher-Price said: “We had an early set up with one key retailer and the sales readers have been very impressive. There is already a lot of consumer awareness and demand for this property, and the great range of toys really complements the story line and pre-schooler play patterns. It has all the ingredients to be a phenomenal property for us.”
