JCB Kids and Amscan have announced a multi-year deal to produce a complete range of My First JCB-branded partyware.Partyware300

The range will include cups, plates, napkins, party invites, balloons, decorations and party favours all featuring the distinctive My First JCB branding. The bright yellow and blue design, which leads with the Joey JCB character, is aimed at young infants and pre-schoolers, which is a rapidly expanding market within the partyware industry.

The range will be available later this month in Tesco and then launched across all retail outlets from Spring 2014. Amscan joins a growing list of over 30 partners in the children’s area for Europe’s largest construction brand. Other key licensed partners include HTI and Golden Bear in toys, Aykroyds TDP, Smith & Brooks, William Lamb and Igloo Books.

Sam Johnson, senior licensing manager, JCB Kids, said: “Diggers and earth moving machines have always been a popular birthday party theme for young children and the entry of the UK’s favourite digger to this category will delight our many fans. Amscan has created a standout JCB range which is set to be scooped up by retailers and consumers alike.”

Sandra Vanstan, licensing manager for Amscan International, added: “Amscan is delighted to partner with such a prestigious brand as JCB, and we are especially excited to introduce one of our new product formats (inflate a fun balloon) into this range, we know this will be a joy to kids and adults alike.”
