The Role

The EMEA Amazon National Account Manager (Amazon NAM) will be responsible for creating, developing and maintaining ongoing business relationships with Amazon EMEA, as well as managing a team of direct reports supporting this business unit. Operating strategically, the Amazon NAM will co-ordinate marketing efforts, product launches and sales promotions to achieve sales and profit objectives. Reporting to the Regional Channel Director, this important position will work closely with Regional Channel Director and the VP sales EMEA to deliver the wider global strategic vision.

What you’ll do

  • You will manage the day-to-day Amazon business relationship and be fully responsible for meeting assigned revenue targets across the Amazon EMEA business
  • Manage a support team of three people based in the UK
  • Identify, recruit, retain and develop talent
  • Provide guidance on team objectives and provide constructive feedback on performance on an ongoing basis, undertaking competency reviews, 1:1s and team meetings where relevant
  • Forecasting responsibility to ensure appropriate inventory levels and recurring monthly revenue achievement
  • Analyse retail sales performance to identify opportunities and address potential gaps in forecast to support inventory planning
  • Build outstanding relationships with senior buyers and merchandising teams in key categories of which Funko trades within (Toys, Culture, Games, Softlines)
  • Identify and champion continuous improvement in operational excellence, working closely with the Funko logistics and planning teams
  • Negotiate appropriate commercial trading terms with account base on a yearly basis, following EMEA investment parameters
  • Coordinate with Marketing team on retail level-based activities, monitoring performance and managing appropriate budgets
  • Participate in ongoing training to learn about new and existing product lines and improve sales techniques
  • Secure strategic sales promotion activity/features within defined budget criteria
  • Ensure the execution of all commercial strategies to achieve the sales plan, as well as supporting the wider sales team when required

What you’ll bring

  • Strong and demonstrable Amazon account management experience preferably within FMCG markets
  • Formal knowledge of Amazons administrative and planning tools (Vendor Central, ARA Premium, AMS) essential
  • Proven experience in leading and facilitating strategic conversations at corporate level
  • Knowledge of FOB and Domestic shipping procedures
  • Experience with ERP or CRM systems preferred
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Highly organised and efficient time management skills
  • Demonstrate consistent professionalism
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis to Amazon HO
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • You will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to move at an extremely fast pace
  • Able to work and influence cross-functionally
  • A strong sales professional who has a whole array of relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills with a track record of building sales profitability in a competitive business environment.
