Job Description

The Marketing Operations Manager will report to the Commercial Director. They will own and drive the strategy, design, execution and operations of the marketing process, tracking performance reporting and adjusting to optimise all activity. Management and mentoring of the marketing team.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Recruit, manage and mentor marketing team, identify development needs and set up the necessary structure to empower individuals
  • Own and maintain marketing technology stack, making improvement and efficiency ensuring they are used to their full potential
  • Develop and implement strategies alongside other key stakeholders in the marketing team in line with the business goals to push growth. Review said strategies and initiatives to guarantee planned results are being delivered
  • Responsible for the overall marketing roadmap and the deliverables are on track
  • Oversee the operational aspects of campaign planning, preparation, tracking and ROI attribution
  • Work with brand managers to put together marketing plans that underpin commercial requirements
  • Adopt a test and learn approach to drive performance and continuous improvement
  • Create and maintain metric dashboard reporting on all marketing activities and campaigns to understand their effectiveness and business impact, develop insights to make recommendations on areas for optimisation
  • Communicate marketing campaigns, timelines, and deliverables to the Commercial Director
  • Alongside marketing leads, shape and maintain the marketing budget and calendar
  • Responsible for implementing and uphold best practices for growing the marketing database, including data hygiene and regulatory compliance
  • Support with content creation, to include photoshoots, video content and social media content
  • Ability to support content writers and devise campaign messaging
  • Own the operational planning of all consumer and trade shows
  • Planning and implementing promotions
  • Forecasting

  • Experience with Hubspot, Google Analytics and other marketing tools highly advantageous

Hours, Location & Salary

The job is a full-time role and is home-based with occasional travel to the office in Manchester. Salary is competitive.
