Joystick Junkies has announced the launch of its new mobile device-compatible consumer website www.joystickjunkies.com, and the addition of DC Entertainment Superheroes to its offering.joystickjunkies330

The e-commerce platform offers a range of high-quality and personalised products featuring a selection of the world’s hottest videogame and cult comic book brands. The site is already attracting heavyweight industry partners including global entertainment licensor Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), on behalf of DC Entertainment, with whom Joystick Junkies has inked a deal to produce t-shirts, sweatshirts and jackets featuring characters from its portfolio of DC Comics Super Heroes, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batgirl and Catwoman.

A subsidiary company of Brands In, Joystick Junkies develops fashionable products for men and women. Women account for 70% of all online purchases and are increasingly demanding apparel featuring superhero brands.

Rick Lowe, managing director of Joystick Junkies, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of www.joystickjunkies.com. The website showcases our full service offering that includes design and personalisation, production and a distribution facility based in London which is capable of producing 250,000 t-shirts a week. In real terms, this means that video game and comic book fans can come onto our site, choose a garment and design, personalise it with colour, patterns or special treatments, and have their one-off product shipped to them anywhere in the world within hours.”

Paul Bufton, general manager of Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK, commented: “As gaming and comic book fans themselves, the Joystick Junkies team understands the products that consumers want to buy and, importantly, how they want to buy them. The mobile device-ready web site is a reflection of how agile and responsive Joystick Junkies can be and I believe it will only add to our growing DC Comics business in the UK.”
