Julian Boyers has stepped down as MD of Bandai UK, due to retirement, having worked for the company for over 24 years.

Julian will, however, continue to contribute to the UK business in an advisory capacity to the senior management team, and will continue to sit on the board of directors.

Tatsuya Moromugi, currently general manager of operations at Bandai Europe, will join the UK operation as president, with Clive Smith continuing as GM, reporting to Moromugi.

Jose Antonio Vargas, president of Bandai Europe said: “Julian has been a strategic driving force in our organisation and a true inspiration to our staff. We look forward to his continued influence in moving the business forward.”

Julian commented, “I have enjoyed a long and happy career with Bandai and have been privileged to have worked with talented and dedicated people both in the UK and internationally.  By taking a step back now, it will allow me more time to enjoy my hobbies and grandchildren, and I am very confident that Bandai UK has the personnel in place to drive the business forward to the next level.”
