Jumbo adds Thundercats licence

Jumbo Games has signed its first license deal with Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK for the hit property Thundercats, the cult cartoon series that returned to TV screens last July.

The three year agreement will see Jumbo produce a range of Thundercats games and puzzles aimed at the pre-teen boys market.

Following an exclusive preview at the London Toy Fair in January, a Glow in the Dark Puzzle (RRP £6.99, 100pcs), Puzzle-A-Round (RRP £12.99, 108pcs) and 2 in a Box Puzzle (RRP £6.99, 70 pieces) are set to hit stores this spring/summer with a Fortress Game (RRP £9.99) planned for autumn/winter.

Thundercats is one of the most iconic animated series of the 1980s and a continuing pop culture force.  The new-look series premiered on the Cartoon Network last summer and was watched by over two million viewers.

Jumbo MD, Gray Richmond said, “We are absolutely delighted to be working with Warner Bros. to offer fans the Thundercats adventure through our range of puzzles and games.  It’s a fantastic property to have in our portfolio and we’re looking forward to developing an exciting product offering for these beloved characters.”
