Jumbo Games will produce games and puzzles for CBeebies show Mr. Bloom’s Nursery, as well as adult jigsaw puzzles for Game of Thrones.
The Jumbo Games deal bolsters Mr. Bloom’s licensing presence, with existing partners including TCV for gardening and nature products, Little Babas for dress-up, Portico for greetings and calendars and Random House for publishing. Mr. Bloom also regularly appears in Immediate Media’s top-selling CBeebies magazine.
Katherine Pierce, senior marketing manager at Jumbo Games, said: “We are always looking to work with brands that have strong appeal to children and that’s why we have snapped up Mr. Bloom’s Nursery. As well as being hugely popular it’s also very interactive, which makes it perfect for puzzles and games.”
Mr. Bloom’s Nursery is consistently one of the highest rating pre-school shows broadcasted on CBeebies and the property is also a strong part of the CBeebies website with a dedicated section that features games, activities and songs. Mr. Bloom also features within CBeebiesLand at Alton Towers which opened in May 2014.
Meanwhile, Jumbo Games has confirmed a deal with HBO Global Licensing to produce a series of licensed Game of Thrones adult jigsaw puzzles with first launch available for Christmas 2014.
Jumbo Games has agreed a pan European licensing deal to produce Games of Thrones adult jigsaw puzzles. The initial launch will be the 1,000-piece original jigsaw puzzle, with a 3×500-piece puzzle Limited Edition Collector’s Gift Box planned for Spring/Summer and a further edition for Autumn/Winter 2015.
