Published on: 12th August 2022

The Indian toy market is experiencing high rates of growth, with forecasts suggesting that for the period to 2024, sales will rise by +10% to 15% a year.

Kids India 2022The eighth edition of Kids India takes place from 15th to 17th September 2022 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai and is regarded as India’s most important international B2B fair for toys, children’s products and sports goods.

Since the previous exhibition in 2019, India has become even more attractive as a market for the toy industry. Kids India offers participating toy businesses both at home and abroad the ideal framework for a market launch and for building their business relationships. International trade visitors may be able to take advantage of a limited travel cost scheme, allowing them even more scope to relax and enjoy the fair. In addition, a wide-ranging programme of conferences and podium discussions will be running across all three days of the event.

As a supporter of Kids India 2022, the Sports Goods Export Promotion Council (SGEPC) is running a special offer. The ‘Hosted Buyer Programme’ is available for a limited number of international buyers. Amongst other benefits, this programme covers the full cost of a return ticket from the visitor’s home country to Mumbai for arrival on 14th September 2022, and hotel accommodation in Mumbai for two nights is also included. At the fair itself, special ‘Decision-maker meetings’ will be arranged for the visitors, providing direct contact with those responsible for sales in relevant organisations. Anyone interested in this offer will find an application form for the ‘Hosted Buyer Programme’ on the Kids India website.

The market for toys in India is experiencing rapid growth at present. Forecasts suggest that for the period to 2024, sales will rise by +10% to 15% a year, far in excess of the global average. The attractiveness of the market will be reflected at Kids India 2022.
