Kids Stuff hosts its first Child Free Shopping Event

Published on: 2nd November 2015

Kids Stuff Toy Master in Wells launched its first ever Child Free Shopping Event on Wednesday night, kick-starting customers into thinking about their Christmas shopping.

Kids-Stuff-480During the child-free event, the store offered exclusive deals and homemade mince pies. Staff members also got into the Christmas spirit, dressing up in festive costumes.

Special offers on the night included a 20% discount on certain products, with many larger toys seeing substantial reductions.

The event was advertised online via Facebook and Twitter, and in-store through pamphlets and a poster in the shop window.

Store manager Lee Borastero commented: “We’d heard of other Toymaster shops running the event so we thought we’d give it a go. The event was a huge success for us and we’ll definitely be doing it again. We’re already planning to run another event in late November or early December.”

Lee added: “The gimmick of a child-free event means that parents can shop in peace, without their kids pulling on their arms. It also gives parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles a chance to get their Christmas shopping done early, without the children being around.”

The event received a positive response from the store’s local customers. “It’s great to be able to shop without the kids. We’re looking forward to the next one,” said one enthusiastic customer.

Kids Stuff’s Child Free Shopping Event saw a total of 38 people entering the store in the two-and-a-half hour period, with everyone bar a few customers making a purchase.
