Kids Stuff settles into new store

Having recently bought D & J Toystop’s unit in Putney from David and Jane Eyres, Kids Stuff took over the store on Sunday.

Kids-Stuff-480Debbie Hartfield, the store’s new manager, spoke to Toy World about Kids Stuff’s plans for the new store.

“David and Jane have done such a good job with the toy store and we don’t want to upset them by overhauling it overnight. It was their baby so we’re treading very softly,” Debbie explained.

The store will keep the same name until the New Year, which is when staff will start to implement any significant changes they intend to make.

“We’ve expanded the stock, as we’ve got more than enough at Kids Stuff,” Debbie added. “We’re also keeping on David and Jane’s loyal band of staff.”

Kids Stuff’s takeover of the store will also mean that it will be participating in Black Friday, an event David and Jane had not planned on taking part in.

“We’ve already started planning for Black Friday,” Debbie said. “We’ve saved all of the good stuff for the event, and Toymaster has provided us with some POS in preparation. We can’t wait.”
