King’s Cross sees Call the Clangers pop-up experience

Last Saturday, Coolabi produced a pop-up Clangers experience in Battle Bridge Place, King’s Cross N1C to launch the series’ new episodes.

Clangers-480The new episodes of the multi-award winning series commenced on CBeebies on 23rd May.

Families were able to Call the Clangers via a pop-up pink knitted London phone box with a phone line straight through to pre-schoolers’ favourite blue planet, creating a stir on social media via the hashtag #calltheclangers, reaching over 464,000 Twitter timelines and 193,000 Facebook users.

The launch of the new episodes has also attracted wide press attention this week. Call the Clangers was featured live on BBC Radio London, Michael Palin appeared on the BBC Radio Chris Evans Breakfast Show and the new episodes were featured in the Guardian Guide, Sunday Times Culture and Daily Mail Weekend.

The Clangers costume characters were on hand to keep children and families entertained with dances, stickers and activity sheets.

The CBeebies team attended on the day and made a film of the event for the CBeebies YouTube, website and social channels, which can be watched here.
