Konsens Holding acquires Bullyland

Published on: 2nd February 2017

Bullyland is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of figurines.

bully480Bullyland has signed over the ownership to KonSens Holding.

The company was founded in 1973. Its focus is on licence based products with prominent licensors, such as the Walt Disney Company. The company will expand its licensing portfolio under the new ownership and also open further key geographic markets. KonSens is set to invest and support the continued success of Bullyland. The UK will be an important market in this process.

In the transaction process, KonSens implemented a sustainable and long-term strategy against other interested parties. “It was important for us to find a long-term owner, who would not only invest in the short term and quickly resell. With KonSens, we were able to find such a long-term strategic partner,” says Wilco Fruh, Emporion.

Bullyland and its partners were exclusively advised by Emporion GmbH during the transaction, details which they’ve chosen not to disclose. Emporion is an M & A boutique specialising in strategic acquisitions and follow-up solutions in the European mid-market.
