Priced at £1.99, the app features six mini-games, all of which encourage creativity, musicality, numeracy and memory skills. The games include Blossom’s Skip and Jump, Coco’s Beach Band, Passion’s Magical Garden, Peanuts’ Biscuit Bake, Binky’s Hide & Seek, and CottonSocks’ Card Match.
The app was launched earlier this year, and received over 10,000 downloads in the first week alone. Catherine Lawrence, CBG brand manager, said: “We’re thrilled that our app is to feature on the Kurio store. It’s the perfect platform for our brand, and we hope that thousands more children will make friends with the cute Blue Nose characters over the coming months.”
The Blue Nose Adventures app is child- and parent-friendly as there is no facility for in-app purchasing, meaning kids cannot run up unexpected bills on their parents’ credit cards. This chimes with the ethos of the Kurio app store, which gives parents strict controls to keep in-app purchases at a safe level.
Tracey Devine, marketing and licensing director at Kurio, said: “Parents have a range of settings to ensure a safe and fun experience for their children. The Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends app is extremely family-friendly, and we are confident that it will prove a wonderful addition to our store.”
